Literature Text

The stars glow bright in the vacuum of space
not a sound is to be heard.
A planet of desolation,
and I`m alone on this world.

Universe is cold and empty like this hole inside.
Couldn`t stop their war, Heaven knows I tried.

I am unable to relate
to the humans, or care about their fate.
I can not stop the third world war.
It`s gone too faar!

Let it go! Let it go!
Can't hold it back anymore!
Let it go! Let it go!
Turn away and slam the door!
I don't care what they're going to say!
Let their war rage on.

Clothes always bothered me anyway.

It's logical how distance
makes planet Earth seem small.
And the U.S. government
can't get to me at all!
It's time for me to cut my last
ties to earth and leave it in the past.
There are no watchmen watching me.
I'm free!

Let it go! Let it go!
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go! Let it go!
You'll never see me cry
Here I stand, and here I stay!
Let their war rage on!

I control atoms in the air and all around!
I make a cogwheel castle rise out of the ground!
One thought makes sand and rocks turn into glass!
I'm never going back, my pants are in the past!

Let it go! Let it go!
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go! Let it go!
Jon Osterman is gone!
Here I stand in the light of day!
Let their war rage oooooon!!

Clothes always bothered me anyway.
There are some similarities between Doctor Manhattan and Elsa, don`t you think? :)

I`m not the first one to make this observation. I found a few videos on youtube a while ago where the youtubers had used clips from the Watchmen movie to "Let it go".
But hopefully no one has written parody lyrics to it yet, at least not these lyrics. ^^;
Started writing this on August 15th.
I left some parts of the original lyrics unchanged because the thought of the stoic Dr Manhattan expressesing himself in a euphoric way, similar to Elsa, was just too fun to pass up.

Let it go was written and composed by  Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and performed by Adele Dazeem... I mean Idina Menzel!
Frozen belongs to Disney.
Watchmen was created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons and belongs to DCcomics.
Silly, non-profit parody lyrics written by me.
